About used reach trucks
Reach trucks extend the mast forward on rails so they can stack in aisles far narrower than a counterbalance needs. They are the standard choice for high-density racking up to mezzanine height.
Typical range
- Capacities commonly 1 t to 1.5 t
- Lift heights commonly 6 m to 13 m
- Aisle widths from about 2.7 m

Common questions
What is the difference between a reach truck and a counterbalance?
A counterbalance carries the load at the front and needs space at the side to turn. A reach truck extends its forks into the racking, so it works in much narrower aisles.
Do I need a special floor for a reach truck?
Reach trucks need a level, smooth floor and good lighting at height. Very tall stacking may also need guidance rails, a voice system or rack-end protection.
